Our Mission
About the foundation
The Veselin Marinov Foundation was established by a Memorandum of Association with a donation of September 28, 2020 and was entered in the register of Non-Profit Legal Entities in Bulgaria on October 14, 2020. It is a non-governmental, non-religious, politically and financially independent organization working in the public interest.
THE AIMS OF THE FOUNDATION ARE
to support the education of children with outstanding abilities in the fields of arts, science and sports and their participation in national and international competitions, contests and Olympiads;
to promote the affirmation of spiritual values;
to promote knowledge of Bulgarian history and culture;
to restore monuments of war heroes;
to purchase and donate modern equipment to clinics and wards for children;
to protect and restore forests; to restore and renovate community and cultural centers.
IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THESE AIMS, THE FOUNDATION CARRIES OUT THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES
grants nominal scholarships and provides additional financial aid for the completion of secondary and/or higher education, as well as qualification and retraining courses;
participates in the modernization of cultural centers, concert halls and theaters and their equipment via contemporary technical support;
organizes or supports the participation of talented children in competitions, concerts, sport competitions, Olympiads and other similar events in the country and abroad;
supports new or existing theater, dance and concert performances;
organizes and supports initiatives related to forest protection and restoration;
organizes and supports initiatives related to the provision of modern equipment for children’s clinics and wards;
supports the preservation of cultural and historical heritage;
actively cooperates with organizations, institutions and individuals in the country and abroad, and local government representatives on programs related to the aims of the Foundation;
organizes cultural and charitable events related to fund-raising for the implementation of the set aims.
